The Super Battle Cards are easily recognized by their black and red
power level bars on the bottom front of the regular cards with the levels
of 1 to 10 and the consistant graphics of the card back (shown on the lower
left just above the Memorial Cards). The prism cards have power levels
of 11 showing. This set is sometimes called the "Power Level" set
because of the bars.
The card numbers run consecutively across all 20 sets. The
series has changed from red borders at the beginning (top row) through
several colors (blue, light brown, green, light blue, light green) finally
ending with light green borders (third row) prior to the GT sets. The GT
sets are either red/yellow varigated or the Blue/white varigated. The Super
Battle Memorial set is a solid dark green border and are sets 21 and 22.
They start over renumbering at 1 and end at 81.
This series does have three different (and extremely cool) types of special cards. These are listed below.
nce you peel a hidden or double prism card, the bottom layer reveals
a second prism. The later sets (sets 7-20) will have the number in
a white dot rather than a black dot like all the other cards. Sets
1 and 2 ONLY have hidden prisms and regular prisms. The first 6 sets
are missing card numbers on the bottom layer prisms. All double prism
cards have a power level of 11 which, once peeled, shows on the bottom
layer an increase in the power level to 12. ONLY the Hidden
prism peels increase power to the "MAX" level. Note that the "MAX"
prism on the left has the white dot. It is the bottom layer of card
#500, a hidden prism.
In my eclectic way of collecting, I consider a complete set to consist
of one of these hidden or double prism cards peeled and one intact.
Hence a complete set for me has 46 cards, not the usual 42.
These are the backs of the Super Battle Cards. There no deviation
from what you see here except for a color change in the "Z" and "GT" logo
in the top right corner. They will be either black (as shown), red,
or gold. If the back doesn't look like this or has other writing
on it, go back to the section on "how to identify Hong
Kong Cards" and make sure that isn't what you have. It could
also be a fake card. Check the "How to
Identify Fakes" section also. If all else fails, send me a scan
and I will try to help you identify it.

Finally!! More scans of cards with me in them!! And, she even has one with Dad in it. Of course he isn't in one of his better moods there. Hey, I had to inherit this disposition from somewhere. Some pretty good shots of the kids and a not so bad one of Kakarotto and my favorite nephew. Don't try to find the shot of the prince with that mouthy woman and Mirai Trunks in any of the shows, movies, or manga. It's one of those "artistic license" things that the master Toriyama drew. Really, do you think that Vegeta ojisama would let that woman chew his ass out like that in front of anyone?? Get real! He would just leave. No Saiyan male lets anyone else see that much of his private life with his mate. (Except for that nitwit brother of mine). There is such as thing as saving face you know. It would be extremely disprespectful to him (and ultimately, her). Some things you just keep private!! Besides, we Saiyans believe, practice, and live with mutual respect for our mates. You humans have some incredibly barbaric ideologies when it comes to your females. |
